The Lyric was once the "finest performing arts theatre in the city and through its restoration, it promises to be again. Listed on the National Register as part of the Birmingham Downtown Retail & Theatre Historic District, this century-old venue is a beacon of history, entertainment and culture in the heart of Birmingham." Part of its restoration included new theatre seating from Irwin Seating Company. The Lyric is installed with 483 model 11.12.155.4 Springfield chairs and 266 model 91.12.00.4 Millennium chairs. The balcony also is installed with custom drink tables. Maple wood components are finished in No. 22 Classic Rosewood and backs and seats are upholstered with Culp Ginger Lapis velour (discontinued).
