Irwin Seating Introduces Origin:
The Future of Indoor Platform Seating
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Grand Rapids, MI — What do you get when you combine 120 years of experience with the latest seating innovations? You get Origin, Irwin’s latest and most innovative chair—a blend of over a century of seating expertise, crafted with patented construction and proprietary elastomeric suspension technology.
Origin’s flexibility extends beyond its design and construction. Multiple configurations and state-of-the-art tech integration create durable, long-lasting seating suitable for campus lecture halls and corporate presentation rooms.
Two aspects make the Origin seating system unique: It’s suspension seat and back are zonally tensioned at strategically designed points on the frame for optimal ergonomics, ideal during long lecture sessions or multi-day training sessions. Because the suspension conforms to each sitter rather than forcing them into a fixed shape, Origin delivers consistent support across a wide range of body types and sizes.
Secondly, Origin’s platform flexes to fit each room. Various sizes of tablet arms, aisle lighting, and built-in power and data options allow venues to customize Origin to meet their audience needs.
Keeping it Together
Origin eliminates the risk of separation that can occur with traditional attachment methods by using a patented encapsulation process; the mesh is fused directly into the rigid frame, ensuring strength without glue or fasteners. Origin’s innovative encapsulation process keeps the mesh taut, and properly tensioned—even under 1,200 pounds of applied force during testing—ensuring a strong, supportive chair for many years. No sagging. No fraying.
Mesh Makes the Difference
Breathing Room: Precisely designed fabric and structural durability create a chair that breathes, with ergonomic support exactly where you need it, and lends a modern, minimalist aesthetic.
Comfortable Circulation: Ideal for multi-posture sitting over long periods; Origin's curved design incorporates exceptional lumbar support and relieves pressure behind the knees to boost circulation.
Sleek and Subtle: Origin’s minimalist lines help create an environment free of visual clutter and conducive to calm and focus.
Minimal Components: Origin is designed with only a few easy-to-install components, making seating retrofits or replacements a breeze. The result: replace only the part that needs it, not the whole chair, reducing maintenance headaches and lowering replacement costs over time.
Works and Plays Well with Others: Care to add seat numbers, armrests, or cupholders? Origin has it covered. Better yet, tablet arms in four sizes provide the perfect surface for note-taking. Latecomers in dim lighting will appreciate Origin's aisle lights in two styles. The icing on the cake is the Irwin E-Link system, available with 120V power, USB power, or data connectivity to power laptops and mobile devices. Origin is also available with ADA-compliant transfer armrests, movable bases, and swing-away aisle panels.
The Ideal Colors, Materials, and Configurations
No. 26 Origin seat and back modules merge modern design with Irwin’s durability promise and USA-based manufacturing that has defined Irwin for over 120 years. Designers can choose from two proprietary Irwin elastomeric suspension fabrics in two unique styles and several color choices: airy Stratus (Black, Silver, Royal, and Scarlet) and soft-touch Tensiloom® (Jet, Graphite, Shadow Gray, Straw, Terracotta, Moss, Royal, Scarlet, and Maroon).
The Origin durable injection-molded polymer frame is available in two colors, Black and Charcoal gray, and available in 20", 21", and 22" chair widths.
Irwin has spent 120 years learning what audiences need from a seat—and creating seating that meets those needs. With a nod to our past and a glimpse of the future, Origin is what happens when that experience meets the best of modern ergonomics: comfort that adapts to everybody (and every body), style that elevates the room, and durability facilities managers can count on.

Irwin and bluecube3 Bring You Venue360
Experience the Evolution of Venue Seating
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Grand Rapids, MI — Irwin and bluecube3, global leaders in stadium and arena seating, present Venue360 – a groundbreaking modular rail system that is redefining how live entertainment spaces are designed, operated, and monetized.
Irwin SVP of Sales and Distribution, Coke Irwin said, “Venue360 changes ‘what was’ to ‘what’s possible’ in live entertainment, offering an innovative, customizable system that future-proofs investments and enables venues to evolve with market demands.”
Building better ways to bring people together is Irwin’s mission. Venue360 does exactly that by offering new builds and venues that are being renovated, a seating system that can evolve with changing audience and market demands. It is a fully customizable system that creates a superior user experience that is unique to each venue, drives operational efficiencies, and increases profitability by enabling limitless venue flexibility.
“What we were noticing over the years was the growing need for more flexible spaces,” said bluecube3 Managing Director Russell Plant. “Putting on international events like the World Cup or the Olympic events, we noticed that the type of equipment we needed to deliver was much, much broader than just seating.”
Easy Installation. Smarter Operations.
This rail-mounted system is engineered with both installers and operators in mind. Venue360’s modular design dramatically improves installation speed, minimizes labor requirements, enables quicker and easier changeovers between events, and simplifies ongoing maintenance and future retrofits—a key driver for contractors working under tight schedules.
Co-owner of ThreeSixty Installations, Jon Reed, said, “Venue360’s rail-mounted system is wonderful for installation subcontractors and facility managers. It makes installation a breeze and maintenance a snap. Irwin’s quality and support make the installation process a smooth ride.”
Flexibility Through Telescopic Innovation
A hallmark of Irwin’s legacy is its telescopic seating expertise, and Venue360 takes this to the next level. By integrating telescopic platforms with the modular rail system, operators can reconfigure layouts at unprecedented speed. This adaptability enables venues to host multiple event types—such as sports, concerts, graduations, or international tournaments—within the same week.
Validated by Champions: A Real-World Testimony from Kansas
One of the most compelling demonstrations of Venue360 in action is the recent upgrade at David Booth Kansas Memorial Stadium at the University of Kansas. From the ultra-custom “ROCK CHALK” branding in the upper bowl to the iconic “K” flag in the end zone, the installation blends timeless school spirit with cutting-edge versatility. Venue360 enabled KU to preserve the tradition fans love—while introducing the future of stadium design and flexibility.
CEO of Dimensional Innovations, Tucker Trotter, said, “Everyone involved with this project knows the importance. They know that this is a once-in-a-generational project.”
Trusted by Leaders in Construction and Design
Leading installation partner, Covel Contracting’s Jessie Billings, said this about the system, “It’s designed with installers and facility teams in mind. It offers quick installation, intuitive alignment, and effortless part replacement. It’s a smarter setup that saves hours during install—and years on maintenance”.

A System That’s Scaling Fast
Venue360 isn’t a concept—it’s a system in motion. With installations already complete and more on the horizon, Irwin is transforming how venues manage changeovers, maximize capacity, and design for multipurpose use.
Irwin’s Director of Sales for Live Entertainment, Matt Huebsch said, “Live entertainment is changing fast. The way people experience events today is completely different than it was even a few years ago. If we want to stay at the forefront, we can’t just sell seats, we must think bigger. That’s why we’ve shifted toward a systems approach that brings more flexible, adaptable, and immersive solutions to venues, helping them generate revenue and maximizing efficiency every day of the year.”
But Venue360 isn’t just redefining flexibility—it’s enhancing the fan experience. Irwin is excited to announce an upcoming partnership with PixMob, a global leader in immersive crowd lighting and wearable event technology. Together, the two companies will explore how Venue360’s infrastructure can support dynamic lighting systems and interactive audience engagement, taking live events to the next level. Stay tuned for the launch of this upcoming partnership.
