The Saenger opened in 1928 and was touted as the grandest theatre in the South. In 2005, the theatre was destroyed by Hurricane Katrina.

After millions of dollars and years of restoration work, the theatre reopened with its magnificent 15th-century Italian courtyard and gardens, arched surroundings, columns, decorative moldings and blue-domed ceiling.

Irwin Seating provided 2,721 model 29.6.141.8 Rialto chairs with a custom logo cast into the aisle standards. In addition, drink tables were provided for the suite level at the front of the balcony. Chairs are upholstered in a custom JB Martin Toulouse velour with the suite chairs also featuring an embroidered logo. Maple components are stained with our No. 22 classic rosewood, and steel is in a custom powder coat (chestnut brown).
